Last night in Hollywood, Best Supporting Actress winner Patricia Arquette delivered an acceptance speech that included the line:

“It’s our time to have wage equality once and for all…”

That prompted this response from Meryl Streep:

But that sentiment hit a snag this morning when the Washington Free Beacon reported that Hillary Clinton, widely expected to be the Democrat nominee, paid female staffers 72 cents for each dollar paid to men.

While Streep has effusively praised Clinton in the past, this raises serious trust questions on the left about her seriousness on this issue.
