Former Congressman Pete Gallego continues to underwhelm in his bid to reclaim Texas’ 23rd Congressional seat from Representative Will Hurd. Earlier today Politico reported that the former legislator had raised only $205,000 and had $307,000 cash on hand.

The news has to be disappointing for Gallego, who raised less this quarter than he did in the previous. Gallego’s campaign is off to a dismal start, and if his fundraising totals are any indication, his chances of reclaiming his seat are quickly starting to slip away.
