Clinton Pleads Ignorance About Attacks Made By Super PAC She Coordinates Directly With

During an interview with Judy Woodruff on PBS’s NewsHour, Hillary Clinton pleaded ignorance when pressed about David Brock’s Correct The Record’s attacks on Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and Vice President Joe Biden.

CLINTON: “Well I don’t know anything about what you’re saying. I have no knowledge of what they’re doing.”

But in May, the Clinton campaign and Correct The Record boasted about how they would coordinate directly with each other—something never done before in presidential politics:

On Tuesday, Correct the Record, a pro-Clinton rapid-response operation, announced it was splitting off from its parent American Bridge and will work in coordination with the Clinton campaign as a stand-alone super PAC.

And just this week, the Clinton campaign leaked to New York Magazine their plans to attack the vice president:

According to a Clinton campaign source, a team of opposition researchers working on behalf of Clinton is currently digging through Biden’s long record in office to develop attack lines in case the vice-president runs.

Despite this, Clinton claims she has “no knowledge” of these attacks. Right.
