TRACKING VIDEO: Sen. Feingold Touts Badger Pride 48 Hours Before Teaching At Stanford

Pandering to Badger state liberals at Fighting BobFest on Saturday, former Senator Russ Feingold went out of his way to tout the University of Wisconsin.

But Sen. Feingold didn’t tell the crowd of liberal Wisconsinites that 48 hours later he was due to begin teaching his first class of the semester at Stanford University in Palo Alto, CA.

So in reality, Sen. Feingold is more of a Stanford Cardinal than a Wisconsin Badger these days.

Roll Call’s Nathan Gonzales described Sen. Feingold’s setup as an “uncharacteristic move” for a serious candidate:

After his loss, Feingold took a job for the State Department in Africa and this spring started teaching a class at Stanford, approximately 2,000 miles from Wisconsin. And, in an uncharacteristic move for a candidate in a competitive race, Feingold is teaching again this fall. So you’ll find the former senator in California on Monday evenings from 4:15pm to 7:15pm local time teaching “The United States Senate as a Legal Institution.”
