Bill Clinton Requested To Speak At An Iranian Group’s Gala

Today, Fox News’ Ed Henry reported that while Hillary Clinton was Secretary of State, an aide to President Bill Clinton requested permission for the former President to give a paid speech to the National Iranian American Council Gala.

NIAC has long been suspected of lobbying on behalf of the Islamic Republic of Iran, including against sanctions on that country. This speech would have occurred while then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and her staff were engaging in secret, backdoor negotiations with Iran.

This new report will only draw further attention to Bill Clinton’s controversial paid speech requests, including for speeches in North Korea and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
