Colorado Greets Clinton With Sinking Favorability Numbers

Hillary Clinton is back in Colorado. The last time she was in the Centennial State in July 2014, Coloradans reported a middling opinion of her: 48 percent had a favorable view of her, 48 percent had an unfavorable view.

Today, Clinton is returning to Colorado to raise money with an executive who came under investigation for evading millions in taxes. But things are very different in Colorado now.

Beset with stories about secret emails and servers, foreign donors to the Clinton Foundation, and her failed record as Secretary of State, Colorado voters have a very different view of Clinton today.

A poll released last month revealed that 56 percent of Colorado voters view Clinton unfavorably, while only 35 have a positive opinion of her. Worse still:

Colorado voters say 62 – 34 percent that Hillary Clinton is not honest and trustworthy; … and 57 – 39 percent that she does not care about their needs and problems.

That’s an astonishing -21 net swing in just one year. Ouch!
