On Tuesday, the Republican Attorneys General Association released an ad supporting Whitney Westerfield for Kentucky Attorney General and highlighting that he has more experience than his opponent Andy Beshear.
Now, Beshear wants the ad taken off air because it says he will support Obama’s policies, which his campaign disputes.
Beshear is the son of Governor Steve Beshear who has helped usher Obama’s liberal policies into Kentucky and was even a guest at Obama’s State of the Union for being such a champion of his policies. A few months ago, Governor Beshear even welcomed President Obama to Kentucky.
But Andy Beshear’s attempt to say he doesn’t support Obama’s policies is reminiscent of Alison Lundergan Grimes’s trainwreck campaign for U.S. Senate, which she lost by a healthy margin to Mitch McConnell. In that campaign, Alison Lundegan Grimes refused to say whether she voted for Obama.
So is Andy Beshear ALG2K15? Let’s see – both are political legacy offspring of prominent Kentucky politicians, both use their power-player parents to raise campaign funds, and both desperately want to trick you into believing that even though they are Democrats, they totally do NOT support Obama.
