Another Day, Another Set Of Bad Headlines For Hillary Clinton

How the Clintons obtained their wealth continues to dog them in the press, with questions about foreign donations to the Clinton Foundation still making headlines. This issue has only been compounded in recent days by an AP report about a secret LLC used by Bill Clinton as a shell company.

NBC’s Chuck Todd said about recent revaluations regarding the Clintons’ shell company, “It’s creating this other aspect, them and what the Clintons have succeeded in the past is caring about people like you, like me, things like that. If that goes away, that’s a problem for her.”

Yesterday, Hillary Clinton hit the campaign trail in South Carolina. Local news outlet NBC-Charleston tried taking viewers’ questions to the former Secretary, but she was shuffled out by staff before anyone could anything.

On Inside Politics, the National Journal’s Ron Fournier brought up a new Quinnipiac poll that has Hillary Clinton’s trustworthiness upside down at 53 – 39. Fournier said these numbers reflect that Clinton “hasn’t been honest with the American public, so the American public isn’t trusting her.”

In addition, news broke yesterday that the Clinton Foundation had received donations from both FIFA and Qatar. FIFA, the international governing body of soccer, made headlines this week for several high profile arrests within the organization linked to corruption charges, while Qatar, the host nation of the 2022 World Cup, has been accused of using slave labor to build its stadiums.
