That Time Hillary Clinton Agreed With Anti-Vaxxers

With vaccinations in the headlines today, the Washington Free Beacon notes that then-Sen. Hillary Clinton was open to the anti-vaccination crowd’s claims back in 2008.

Likely 2016 Democrat nominee Hillary Clinton had a similar statement while speaking to an anti-vaccine group on the campaign trail in 2008.

“I am committed to make investments to find the causes of autism, including possible environmental causes like vaccines,” said Clinton in a written response to the group.

That puts Clinton in agreement with President Obama, who then a Senator in 2008, said, “We’ve seen just a skyrocketing autism rate. Some people are suspicious that it’s connected to the vaccines. This person included. The science right now is inconclusive, but we have to research it.”
