The New York Times is reporting that Hillary Clinton’s campaign-in-hiding has hired Dennis Cheng to help with fundraising. True to Clinton form, the move is not without controversy.
Cheng spent years at the Clinton Foundation, establishing contacts for a presidential campaign while the charity footed the bill. More below:
During his three and a half years at the Clinton Foundation, Mr. Cheng helped the philanthropic group tap into a vast donor base to build up a $246 million endowment in 18 months, according to a Clinton Foundation email announcing his departure.
More recently, Mr. Cheng has balanced his foundation job with meetings to screen potential 2016 campaign fund-raisers.
