Mary Landrieu spent the better part of this afternoon openly campaigning on the Senate floor. Landrieu is attempting to do with loud talking what her so-called “clout” could not: get Harry Reid’s “no votes” Senate to approve the Keystone XL pipeline.
Energy is a big issue in Louisiana, which is why she is grandstanding on this issue, but close Landrieu followers know she’s supported numerous Democrats who actively oppose Keystone.
Her hypocrisy on this issue and her lockstep support for Obama and Reid over her term render today’s desperate speech meaningless.
