WV Editorial Headline: Tennant Breaks Election Law

In a scathing editorial, the staff of the Wheeling News-Register ripped into Natalie Tennant for breaking the very laws she’s charged with upholding.

Tennant led a merry band of supporters to the steps of a polling location, thanked them, and then marched in to vote for herself. It is illegal to encourage citizens to support a specific candidate on or near polling locations.

The editorial concludes:

Beyond any doubt, Tennant broke the law – not just any law, but an election statute she is sworn to uphold.

Such a blatant breach of trust in order to promote her own interests should be considered unacceptable by West Virginians. It reinforces the point that Capito should be our choice for the Senate.
