The Mile High Trio On Gitmo: Obama, Clinton & Udall

Mile High Gitmo

Earlier this month, The Wall Street Journal reported that President Obama is considering a “dramatic use of executive power” to override a Congressional ban on bringing terrorists held at Guantanamo Bay to the United States. The original plan to circumvent Congress was drafted by none other than former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who Newsweek reported made the recommendation in a two-page memo to Obama during her final days in office.

Clinton will be in Colorado today, campaigning with Mark Udall, who votes with President Obama 97% of the time, and according to the Denver Post defended calls to close Gitmo despite the fact that one of top sites for consideration would be Colorado’s Supermax prison, located just 90 miles from Denver.

If the Obama-Clinton-Udall trio get their way, Gitmo might go Mile High.
