Gary Peters is either very confused or just purposefully attempting to deceive Michigan voters.
To one audience, he yells—literally—about how he’s a typical Michigander, an everyman “labor guy” who knows the struggles of Michigan’s middle class —or at least that’s what he’s telling one group of working class voters.
But in front of the Detroit Chamber of Commerce, Peters sings a completely different tune. Soft spoken and declaring himself “a business person,” Peters again invokes his inner chameleon to blend in with the business crowd—a blatant exercise in pandering for their vote.
Whichever it is, the differences in Peters’ presentations are so stark, that he’s confusing everyone, including himself.
It seems the “real” Gary Peters changes depending on which group of constituents he’s in front of.
