In a video obtained by The Weekly Standard, New Mexico Democrat gubernatorial nominee Gary King (also known as the state’s “worst attorney general“) launched an outrageous racial attack on America’s first Hispanic female governor, Susana Martinez, saying that she “does not have a Latino heart.”
This comes just three months after another New Mexico Democrat said “We need to send her back to wherever she really came from.”
While King has a checkered history, this latest attack is beyond the pale. Not only did his former campaign manager have “a history of derogatory tweets towards women,” but as New Mexico’s attorney general, King paid female attorneys less.
UPDATE: King has said he will not apologize for his remarks because he does not consider them racist.
