Montana Dem Can’t Name One Budget Item He’d Cut

During a debate last night in Billings, Montana Democrat John Lewis was unable to answer what he would cut from the federal budget.

At one point, so eager for a lifeline, Lewis asks the moderator if he’s being cut off because of time. He was not. Lewis bumbled through the rest of his answer, saying, “So, not naming anything specific, we need to cut out wasteful spending.”

The AP noted that Lewis “fumbled” the answer and the audience then laughed at his abject failure.
