Kansas Senate candidate Greg Orman once sued “Singin’ in the Rain” star Debbie Reynolds. It’s unlikely that sentence has ever been written about any other Senate candidate in American history.
Orman lent Reynolds’ Hollywood memorabilia museum $1 million. Orman’s spokesman said “Greg had a prior relationship with Debbie Reynolds.” The case was dismissed in 2010.
This cycle has seen its share of strange lawsuits, including Iowa Democrat Bruce Braley threatening to sue a neighbor over therapeutic chickens, but suing Debbie Reynolds might take the cake.
Debbie Reynolds is the mother of Princess Leia.
