Over the weekend, Gary Peters said that he had no intention of selling his investment in an oil company that produces products that he regularly attacks and called “dirtier than the dirtiest fuel.”
Peters had this to say to The Detroit News:
“‘Am I going to sell it? I have no plans of it, no,’ Peters told The Detroit News after speaking at the Michigan Democratic Party’s African-American alliance breakfast in Southfield. ‘It is an investment in the fourth largest oil company in the world. It has nothing to do with the Detroit situation.’”
So, Peters doesn’t care what a company does as long as it doesn’t do it in the city of Detroit. Those are some pretty strong convictions he has.
