Kathy Groob, a Kentucky Democrat working to elect Alison Lundergan Grimes, drew statewide attention Saturday when she went on a racial tirade on Twitter against Mitch McConnell’s wife, Elaine Chao.
Alison Lundergan Grimes has not yet released a statement condemning Groob or her race-baiting comments, leaving Kentuckians to believe Grimes has no problem with this kind of thing.
Groob, who deleted her Twitter account after Kentucky news organizations reported on the incident, repeatedly tweeted, “she is Asian,” in reference to Chao. Groob apparently believed this to be some kind of silver bullet attack on McConnell (???). See screenshots below:
