California Democrat Julia Brownley sent out a taxpayer-funded mailer last month with the image of a woman wearing a German Luftwaffe uniform. Presumably, Brownley and her staff thought the uniformed woman was wearing a U.S. uniform.

Brownley serves on the House Committee for Veterans Affairs, and her district is home to Naval Base Ventura County and 19,000 naval personnel.
