Colorado Democrat Gov. John Hickenlooper pulled a Hillary back in June when he met with the Colorado Sheriffs.
Video from RevealingPolitics.com shows Hickenlooper explaining that public service, like becoming sheriff or governor, isn’t about the money.
Hickenlooper was careful to couch his financial situation as “small rich.” He said, “Compared to people around you here in Aspen, very small rich.”
Really, governor? This 2010 Denver Post editorial said Hickenlooper’s wealth is “estimated between $5 million and $10 million.”
I think most Coloradans, including the sheriffs in that room, would view that as “very big rich.”
