Alison Lundergan Grimes’ campaign can’t seem to get its story straight when it comes to this ongoing bus scandal. This morning, Politico reported that the Grimes camp’s claims aren’t adding up.
The Grimes campaign claimed in an email to Politico that she paid her father $456 for “bus rental + fuel costs.” Reporters followed up and found out that basically every bus company in America balked at that figure, so yesterday the Grimes campaign said that figure didn’t include fuel costs.
What? But you just said…
Don’t worry though, the Grimes campaign said they “strongly” stand by their nonsensical public statements. Great work.
