While Obama was in Colorado campaigning for Mark Udall – even though Udall was staying away, as far away as he could – the president praised Udall, saying he was not an ideologue and that they did not agree on everything.
“And Mark Udall is a serious person who is trying to do the right thing and who has the values that we share. He is not an ideologue. He doesn’t agree with me on everything.”
Udall’s not an ideologue? He doesn’t agree with Obama on everything?
That must come as a surprise to Coloradans, who have watched as Udall has consistently voted with Obama. Throughout Obama’s presidency Udall has been nothing but dependable, voting with Obama 97 percent of the time. In 2013, Udall voted with Obama 99 percent of the time.
But, yeah, Udall isn’t an ideologue and he doesn’t agree with Obama on everything. He just agrees with Obama 99 times out of 100.
