Mass. Convention Dems “Poised” To Reject Coakley

Politico is reporting that Steve Grossman, underdog Democrat for Massachusetts governor, will get more delegate votes than frontrunner Martha Coakley at this weekend’s Democrat Convention. Coakley, who has been running a pretty clueless campaign, is standing on the edge of a huge embarrassment.

According to a Suffolk University/Boston Herald poll, Coakley leads Grossman 44-12 among Massachusetts Democrats. However, the convention-going crowd (i.e., the Democrat base) is potentially looking to reject Coakley, as Politico reports that Grossman is “poised to lead the voting,” among delegates at this weekend’s convention.

Coakley says she’s learned from her 2010 embarrassment, but after her gas tax flub, having to reimburse the state for campaign travel, and her tendency to park in illegal tow zones, it looks like party insiders are worried she’s going to pull a Coakley… again.
