The democratic challenger for the Iowa Governorship, Jack Hatch, was all set to announce his pick for Lt. Governor when Republican Incumbent Gov. Terry Branstad did it for him.
The Hatch campaign posted their pick on the campaign website over an hour before the scheduled announcement. After Gov. Branstad’s release of the pick, the Hatch team removed the announcement from the site.
Hatch also failed to secure hatchvernon.com or @hatchvernon; both have since become a treasure trove of political comedy.
