Udall Scraps Legislation, Follows Gardner’s Lead

Mere hours after an environmental group backing Democrat Sen. Mark Udall called his opponent Cory Gardner “too extreme for Colorado,” Udall announced he would introduce legislation nearly identical to Gardner’s House bill, designed to accelerate liquefied natural gas imports.

Udall’s decision to play “follow the leader” came after his own bill stalled in the Senate, never making it out of committee. Gardner’s bill, meanwhile, sailed through committee with bipartisan support and is widely expected to pass in the House “sometime in May.”

So which candidate for Senate is “too extreme” and which candidate is taking care of business for Colorado?
