Gary King is the New Mexico Attorney General. King’s fellow Democrats have called him the “worst attorney general the State of New Mexico has ever had,” so naturally he’s seeking higher office and running for governor.
But before King starts measuring the drapes at 1 Mansion Drive in Santa Fe, he has to face some tough questions. King’s office is in hot water after it was discovered they used false documents to prosecute Medicaid fraud. The Albuquerque Journal sums up the irony:
“The court said the judge ‘was presented with severe misconduct, prejudicial to the administration of justice. The circumstances are ironic in that the state was prosecuting a claim of fraud using created, false documents to do so.’”
