We weren’t aware people in 2014 still used “Mary” as a slur but Democrat House Rep Scott Peters and liberal blogger John Aravosis thought that was an appropriate put-down of openly gay Republican House candidate Carl DeMaio.
How “progressive” of them.
The Log Cabin Republicans have rightly called for Peters to apologize to DeMaio.
This isn’t the first attack DeMaio has sustained from Democrats on this issue. Last week, Dana Perino reported that the San Diego Ethics Commission fined an anonymous left-wing group who “sent mailers of DeMaio Photoshopped next to a drag queen” to conservative households. Unbelievable.
UPDATE: The Peters campaign manager updated their offensive post with an apology, blaming a “staff member” for the post. We’re still waiting, however, for Scott Peters to take responsibility and apologize for the actions of his campaign.
