The New York State Democratic Party continued it’s dredging up of former officials who left office in disgrace today when they confirmed former Governor David Paterson as their new chairman.
Yes, that Paterson.
The one who was accused of trying to shield an aide from domestic violence charges.
The one President Obama tried to talk out of running for governor in 2010 because of his “dismal political standing.”
The one who “set a totally inappropriate tone by his dishonest and unethical conduct” and was fined $62,125 for accepting free tickets to the World Series.
The one who formally announced his candidacy for Governor, then announced the ending of that campaign less than a week later amidst scandal
The one who tried to follow in the footsteps of his predecessor a little too much.
