In 2011, following former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich’s 17-count criminal conviction, Democrat Governor Pat Quinn said Blagojevich “deceived everyone” and “didn’t follow what he was saying in public with what he did in private.”
Fast forward to this week as Illinois residents are potentially seeing history repeat itself with Governor Quinn. A week ago it was reported that a federal judge was asked to investigate the patronage hiring practices of Quinn, whom some believe is continuing the practices that were put in place by Blagojevich.
Yesterday, the Quinn administration publicly acknowledged that the Illinois Inspector General is investigating Quinn’s hiring practices, and the Cook County State Attorney issued a subpoena for records regarding Quinn’s mismanaged anti-violence Neighborhood Initiative Program.
