Rep. John Tierney is running for re-election in Massachusetts’ 6th Congressional District.
1. Tierney Is A Diehard ObamaCare Supporter
Tierney not only voted for ObamaCare but has since also voted against defunding or delaying ObamaCare. Tierney has voted against multiple bipartisan bills that aimed at reforming ObamaCare, despite the fact that Massachusetts residents are already feeling the negative impact of the law.
2. Tierney’s Record On Energy And Climate Change
In 2009, Tierney voted for the 2009 American Clean Energy and Security Act (Waxman-Markey bill), despite the fact that the law would cause job losses of over 300,000 in California and up to 1.8 million nationwide. Tierney also co-sponsored the Green Jobs Act of 2007 with then-Rep. Hilda Solis (D-CA), even though such “green jobs” were later discovered to be anything from janitors to bus drivers.
3. Tierney Voted For A Radical Congressional Progressive Caucus Budget
In March of 2013, Tierney voted for a radical Congressional Progressive Caucus Budget that adopted a public option for healthcare, increased taxes, and hiked spending.
