1. Peters Voted To Underfund San Diego’s Pension System

On November 18, 2002, Scott Peters voted for a plan that underfunded the San Diego City Employees’ Retirement System. An independent report commissioned by the City Council found that Peters’ was negligent in supporting the plan and the Securities and Exchange Commission said the City had committed fraud. The underfund plan Peters supported led to a $2.7 billion deficit in San Diego.

2. Peters Supports ObamaCare

Peters has made clear his support of ObamaCare. He has both spoken against and voted against repealing ObamaCare.

In the 113th Congress, Peters has voted with the Democrat party 85% of the time and with Nancy Pelosi 73% of the time.

4. Peters Is A Millionaire Who Hasn’t Released His Tax Returns

While Peters, who is the 9th wealthiest member of Congress and has a minimum net worth of $45 million, was on the city council, he accepted a $9,600 per year “car allowance” for his BMW. In 2012, Peters refused to release his tax returns, even after both his primary opponent and general election opponent did so.
