State Department Report Good News For Keystone

Today the State Department issued its third environmental impact assessment on the Keystone XL Pipeline, which happens to reinforce the conclusions of the first and second. Now that State has indicated three separate times it has no major environmental objection to the pipeline, Obama may have to heed his own promise to move forward on the project given its environmentally neutral impact. It remains to be seen whether Democrats in the House and Senate will follow such an example, despite the Department of State’s findings, American public opinion, and union support for the project.
