Mark Pryor Brought His D.C. Democrat Leadership Friends To Arkansas For Supper

This past weekend Senator Mark Pryor (D-AR) attended the Gillett Coon Supper in Gillett, Arkansas where he announced some surprise guests.

Joining him at the supper were Senators Joe Donnelly (D-IN), Angus King (I-ME), and Dick Durbin (D-IL).

PRYOR: “And tonight, I’m not the only U.S. Senator in the room. There are actually three Senators that are here tonight with all of us, in addition to me. Let me introduce them. First, we have Joe Donnelly of Indiana, Joe, if you don’t mind. We have Angus King of Maine. Then we have Dick Durbin of Illinois. Thank you for welcoming them, thank you all for coming here. They came all the way from Washington, D.C. to get a good bite of raccoon.”

Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) is the Democrat Senate Majority Whip and Assistant Majority Leader ”the second highest ranking position in the Senate.”

But, Pryor wants voters “to see him more as an Arkansan than a ‘national Democrat.’”

Pryor may try to say he’s not part of D.C. or the national Democratic agenda, but nothing makes more clear where you’re heart’s at than whom you choose to bring to supper.
