A new report from Politico revealed that “by Election Day 2016, taxpayers will have paid out more than $16 million to fund Bill Clinton’s pension, travel, office expenses and even the salaries and benefits of staff at his family’s foundation…”
That’s more than any former president has received from taxpayers, ever. (Reminder: Bill Clinton received a $15 million advance for his memoir; Hillary Clinton demands a $300,000 per event speaking fee; oh, and the Clintons were “dead broke.”)
Even more egregious–some of that money helped fund the salaries of the Bill, Hillary, & Chelsea Clinton Foundation employees:
Multiple sources familiar with Clinton’s funding say the special federal money has supplemented the salaries of some employees of the Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton Foundation, a global non-profit that has served as Hillary Clinton’s primary platform as she prepares for a presidential campaign expected to launch in coming weeks.
Just like the email scandal that has plagued Hillary Clinton in recent weeks, the Clintons said they did nothing wrong, noting that the “GSA does not dictate the number of staff for whom the allocation is used.”
Yes, in their view, the Clintons once again did nothing wrong! 😉
