Clinton Linked To Even More Government Waste

The Washington Times reports that Hillary Clinton oversaw the direct grants of American aid to departments within the Afghan government known to be rife with corruption. Under a policy that USAID said was “reaffirmed” by Hillary Clinton, waivers were granted for millions of dollars in taxpayer-funded aid destined for Afghanistan.

Even though the Afghan government was known to be plagued with corruption the waivers exempted the aid from internal controls designed to protect against “fraud, waste or outright theft.” The Washington Times report comes only weeks after the Inspector General found that Clinton’s State Department could not properly account for over $6 billion.

The Washington Times reports:

“In internal government documents with potential repercussions for the 2016 presidential election, top officials at the U.S. Agency For International Development repeatedly cited former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton for setting into motion a policy to waive restrictions on who could receive U.S. aid in Afghanistan, resulting in millions of dollars in U.S. funds going directly into the coffers of Afghan ministries known to be rife with corruption.”
