American Crossroads Taps Paul Lindsay as Communications Director

Senior Campaign Strategist Will Manage Media Relations for American Crossroads

WASHINGTON – American Crossroads today announced the hire of Paul Lindsay, a veteran of national political and public affairs campaigns, as its new communications director. Lindsay will provide strategic communications counsel and manage media relations for American Crossroads.

Lindsay joins American Crossroads from Powell Tate/Weber Shandwick, where he served as a vice president in the firm’s public affairs practice. Prior to that, Lindsay served as the communications director for the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) during the 2012 election cycle. In that role, he developed the strategy, messages and media relations engagement plan that resulted in the successful campaign to maintain Republican control of the U.S. House of Representatives. Lindsay also served as the NRCC’s deputy communications director in the 2010 election cycle, and has held a number of communications roles on Capitol Hill and on political campaigns.

“Paul Lindsay understands the unique strategic focus, pace and tone of political communications, and we are excited to have him join our senior team,” said Steven Law, president and chief executive officer of American Crossroads.  “Rather than rely only on paid media to drive our message, Paul will be helping us integrate a communications strategy that turns up the volume and broadens our reach.”
