Day 6: Wall Street Cash from the Democrat Senate Committee Pledged to Help Elizabeth Warren

Professor Warren still refuses to turn down Wall Street campaign cash

WASHINGTON – American Crossroads again called on Professor Elizabeth Warren to refuse backing from the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) and its Wall Street bounty since she has repetitively denounced “Wall Street cash” in politics.

In emails from DSCC bagmen Guy Cecil and Jason Rosenbaum, the DSCC pledged to “protect” Warren with an “Emergency Media Campaign” using its financial boon collected on Wall Street.  Wall Street, big banks and the financial services industry have contributed more than $40 million to the DSCC since 2005 – more than any other industry including labor unions and trial lawyers.

“Professor Warren’s position of being against Wall Street political cash before she was willing to pocket it from the DSCC is outright hypocrisy,” said American Crossroads president Steven Law.  “Warren ought to put an end to the hypocrisy and say no to the DSCC’s Wall Street cash.”
