Jarrett: Guidance Was Given About Not Using Personal Email For Work

At today’s Washington Ideas Forum 2015, Andrea Mitchell asked Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett if, despite Clinton’s repeated claims that setting up a private email server ‘was allowed,’ there were guidelines handed down from the Obama administration about using private email.

JARRETT: “Yes, there were. Yeah, absolutely. We feel obviously we want to make sure we preserve all government records, and so there was guidance given that government business should be done on government emails, and that if you did use a private email, it should be turned over.”
